Describe Charix.
Turkish artisans have been handcrafting charik, or handcrafted leather shoes, for decades. We enhanced them with contemporary workmanship, drawing inspiration from their simple, classic design. They were known as Charix.
Reimagined.
Being frequent travellers, we believed that the ideal pair would combine the shoes' natural beauty with improved comfort, a reliable fit, and long-lasting quality without compromising either. We then set out to succeed.
Upgrades.
We reconstructed the vintage model in our atelier using contemporary tools, skilled hands, and an abundance of inventiveness, including: (1) Memory-Foam Insole; (2) Durable, Non-Skid Outsole; (3) Half Sizes; (4) Consistent Fit; (5) Contoured Heel; and (6) Softer, Finer Stitching.
Result.
After much trial and error, we have found the perfect middle ground: a distinctive modern version that preserves the handmade allure of the vintage shoes while giving the wearer a flying experience. We are the only retailer offering these retro shoes with contemporary, upscale shoe specifications.
Tale of Us
We set out on our adventure after discovering the original Charix hidden away in a store in Istanbul's Old City. Their distinctive style immediately drew attention, and their comfort quickly made them a go-to choice. Charix became our go-to shoe for any sort of excursion, whether it be in the city, on the coast, or somewhere else in the world. Can you bring me a pair the next time you visit? would be a common question from friends. Well, the message was received! We now wish to introduce Charix to the world.
Founding.
An American citizen from Istanbul established Charix in 2015. Our founder, a third-generation manufacturer, combined the values of innovation, quality, and workmanship to provide you with the best of both worlds. He is accompanied by others who have the same huge desire as him and enjoy travelling.
Vision.
We support simplicity since it draws attention to the superiority of our components. We favour simple, well considered design that flows naturally through time, space, and occasion. We support the creation of fewer, higher-quality products that are actually valuable to own.
Charix Studio.
Our shoes are made with passion and care by our craftsmen in the Charix atelier in Istanbul. Modern tools, skilled hands, and a wealth of imagination are all available in our atelier.
Craftspeople.
Our artisans strive for excellence; they make adjustments repeatedly until we are satisfied. We resemble a large family. Everyone receives fair treatment, good pay, health benefits, complimentary lunches, and transportation. In order to create fantastic shoes with enthusiasm, we provide a good work atmosphere.
Materials.
We exclusively select materials from the top shelf. The best natural leathers are hand-selected, and they age wonderfully. We use the softest calf leather to line our shoes since it never stinks or becomes too hot. Our understated memory foam insoles support the arches, while our durable, minimalist rubber outsoles offer traction.
The final.
One of the most crucial elements in the creation of shoes is the last. It determines the form, fit, and feel of the shoe. Every pair of Charix is built on a unique set of lasts created by our incredibly skilled last maker. When you put on a pair of our shoes, you will notice the difference right away. That is a perfect fit.
Price-Point.
We work hard to provide the best shoes at the most affordable price. Instead of calculating margins, we chose our pricing point based on early consumers' comments. We deliver top-end shoe attributes without the expensive cost.
Differentiation.
We create unique shoes. The classic Charix may be purchased through dealers in the US or at souvenir stores in Istanbul; it is produced with the same structure but is marketed and priced differently. On the other hand, Charix purposefully uses modern equipment and novel methods that we helped develop to create its shoes. You will notice the difference right away once you put on our pair: greater comfort, better fit, and higher quality.
Exchanges and Returns
Within 30 days after the delivery date, we provide quick and simple exchanges and returns. Exchanges are absolutely free, but there is a $8.50 restocking fee for returned shoes. Through email, we offer no-cost pre-paid shipping labels. A few clicks on our internet portal will do it.
RETURN OR EXCHANGE TO BEGIN
Shoes must be brought back in their original, unused state. In the box, don't forget to put your packing slip.
Household Orders (USA)
Exchanges: Choose the exchange option if you require a different size or color. As soon as you drop off the parcel at the USPS, exchanges begin immediately. Usually, it takes a few business days to get the size or colour you want. Returns: Just select the return option at our online store if you are dissatisfied with your purchase or have changed your mind. After the shoes have been received and inspected, your refund will be processed to the original source of payment. Within five days after the date of receipt, refunds are given. Caveat about returns: While exchanges are free, there is a $8.50 restocking fee for shoes that are returned.
